Warner Bros Discovery se rozdělí na dvě samostatné veřejně obchodované společnosti

Warner Bros Discovery (NASDAQ:WBD) oznámil, že oddělí své streamovací a studiové aktivity od kabelových televizních sítí. Tím se rozpadne sloučení WarnerMedia a Discovery z roku 2022.

Nová společnost bude zahrnovat Warner Bros, DC Studios a HBO Max, zatímco síťová část bude zahrnovat CNN, TNT Sports a Bleacher Report. Dokončení se očekává do poloviny roku 2026 jako daňově neutrální transakce.

CEO David Zaslav povede streamovací a studiovou divizi, zatímco CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels povede síťovou část. Většina dluhu (aktuálně 38 miliard USD) připadne na síťovou společnost.
