Germany has completed the investigation of the accident that occurred on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. German investigators said that the damage to the gas pipeline threads was the result of sabotage.

At the same time, the investigative authorities were unable to identify those involved in the explosions on the pipelines, but some German officials suggest that Russia is behind the sabotage. They believe that by keeping one thread of the Nord Stream 2 intact, Moscow will be able to force the German authorities to certify the operation of the gas pipeline.

However, the German government has stated that there are no plans to put the Nord Stream 2 into operation. Even despite the fact that against the background of rising prices for heating and electricity in Germany, protests against anti-Russian sanctions began to take place more and more often among residents.

According to the results of the investigation, it is unlikely that the alleged sabotage was carried out by a military submarine, since the section of the Baltic Sea where the Nord Streams run is relatively shallow and is under close surveillance by NATO. According to one version, the explosive devices were launched from the ship, and then activated remotely. Images from the explosion sites show that the explosives had a force of about 500 kilograms of TNT.
